2025 PRESEASON TIPS
2025 Preseason Tips
WITH SENIOR COACH, MARK HORNE
As we prepare to kick off preseason for the upcoming 2025 season it’s time to start thinking on how you can get yourself ready and be in the best condition and position to not only have your best season as an individual but also as a team.
Whilst training over the next couple of months as a group is limited to only a couple of hours per week and then a break over Christmas/New years this is the time where you can make massive gains doing the work away from footy training by yourself.
Below listed some of my favourite tips and people to follow that may help guide you over the coming months:

1
FITNESS
Try to get in at least 3 runs per week along with some ‘Off legs’ cardio also – This includes Boxing, Bike, Ski erg. If you’re looking for some good running programs give @jjshighperformance a follow on Instagram, he is always uploading some good running sessions/Challenges

2
DIET
How you perform will also depend on your diet. How your body looks visibly is 80% diet and 20% exercise so if you’re training flat out but not losing any weight then it’s probably time to have a closer look at your diet.

3
NEVER WASTE A SESSION
Never go into a session whether that be gym or running without a plan. Have a solid plan of exactly what you’re going to do before you do it and get it done, if you rock up just ‘winging’ it it’s higher likely to be an easier session.
