Centrals (the Bulldogs) has a proud history spanning over 6 decades and has celebrated 12 senior premierships.

Centrals prides itself as a family club, the move to Trinity Beach provided the opportunity for the club to grow and nurture its family focussed culture through engagement and support of the northern beaches community. The club’s commitment to the local community has been reflected in the support and participation of local families through the Junior and Senior teams and in more recent times, the Womens team who entered the competition in 2015.

The Club’s Board is enriched with club stalwarts, past Bulldogs junior and senior players and accomplished local business people, demonstrating a depth of experience in football administration and business acumen. The Board are committed to building both a stronger club and local league, in partnership with the Trinity Beach Sports Club, our 6,000 strong supporter base and sponsorship partners, keeping Centrals in a solid position moving forward. The skills, experience and connections of the Football Manager have enabled the attraction of quality players to Centrals and AFL Cairns, lifting standards within the competition to levels not seen before.

The 2023 season for Centrals Trinity Beach Football Club began with optimism, achieving strong victories for both senior and development teams. Despite some close defeats, both home and away, impacting our season control, it highlighted the competitiveness of the league, with the senior teams (Mens & Womens) falling short of last year’s expectations. Nevertheless, the Development side secured a second consecutive Grand Final win, while our Division 3 team, consisting of past players, clinched the inaugural premiership.

Off the field, the dedicated efforts of the committee, volunteers, and members maintained the club’s high standards, solidifying its status as an outstanding and inclusive community club. Extensive planning, both on and off the field, focused on retaining the existing roster and strategic recruitments. The presence of special guest recruit Gary Ablett Junior drew over 3000 spectators, setting a record for an AFL Cairns grand final. This historic game, along with clinics and junior forums led by Gary, provided an excellent opportunity to showcase Centrals nationally as a premier club in Queensland.

The strong connection with our junior club, women’s side, and the cultivation of homegrown talent remain sources of pride. As we shift our focus to the 2024 season, we embark on an exciting new chapter in our club’s history and hope you can be apart of it.
